ASHE Reliability-Centered Maintenance Guide

ASHE Reliability-Centered Maintenance Guide

Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) is a maintenance strategy that analyzes structures, systems and assets (SSAs), defines its true design function (i.e., what it is supposed to do for the organization), and determines its risk and/or criticality to the organization and operation of the facility.

This guidebook seeks to help health care facilities managers start down the path to a successful RCM program. It reviews the basics of RCM, details the steps involved in planning and implementing an RCM program in a health care facility, provides the knowledge and tools needed to navigate through that process, and highlights features that will lead to a successful and productive program.
