Travis Epperson, ASHE CHC, Vice President, IMPACT Development Management

Travis has been working in the healthcare construction industry for 27 years. His career in healthcare construction has been with a large commercial contractor, a healthcare real estate developer, and with IMPACT Development Management, a full-service program management firm. Travis has dedicated his career to acting as an advocate for project owners and being a guiding light for project teams. With a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver projects from a design, construction, and owner’s standpoint, Travis has delivered more than $1.4 billion worth of healthcare projects throughout his career. His resume represents projects from clients such as Piedmont Healthcare (Atlanta), Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Wellstar Health Systems (Atlanta), Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Baptist Health (Jacksonville), and Northside Gwinnett Medical Center (Atlanta).

Josh Lowe, Co-Founder & Chief Solutions Officer

With a degree in Architecture, a background in construction, and a penchant for pushing the boundaries of new technologies, Mr. Lowe is leading the way in the building industry. He literally helped write the book on Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a contributing author to “Mastering Autodesk Revit Architecture: 2011 & 2012” and has consulted on several BIM and facility management technologies. In 2016, he co-founded AkitaBox: a SaaS application for proactive building management. AkitaBox offers a new visual way to maintain facilities that help customers improve operational efficiency and reduce risk in their facilities by delivering real-world data of customers’ built environments.

Description

At Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the ASTM E2018-15 property assessment alone just wasn't cutting it anymore. They needed a more in-depth assessment that could feed into an accurate capital cost projection for the next 10 years. Find out how they leveraged a new generation of FCA software to create a prioritized capital plan and an always-current listing of every asset’s current state.

Learning Objectives

  1. What is a modern FCA
  2. How to capture data points effectively
  3. What to consider when developing an FCA strategies
