Record-breaking number of ASHE Chapters recognized for excellence at the 2026 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference 

CHICAGO — The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2026 Chapter Awards. These ASHE Chapters are celebrated for their exceptional contributions to optimizing the healthcare physical environment in partnership with ASHE.

Chapter Awards are given annually to ASHE Chapters at the platinum, gold, silver and bronze level for meeting various criteria that signify the chapters’ outstanding work supporting ASHE’s strategic objectives. Chapters at each award tier may also attain an “elite” bonus award by verifying participation in ASHE’s Energy to Care Chapter Challenge.

A record 50 ASHE Chapters received awards this year. These chapters will be recognized at ASHE’s Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference® taking place Aug. 2-5 in Minneapolis:

ASHE previously announced the winners of the Energy to Care Chapter Challenge, which engages ASHE Chapters in a friendly competition to demonstrate the highest reductions in energy consumption. In 2026, 17 ASHE Chapters participated in the Chapter Challenge. The two winning chapters will also be recognized at ASHE’s 2026 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference:

• Large Category Winner: North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association
• Small Category Winner: Healthcare Facility Managers Association of Delaware Valley

ASHE congratulates these awardees and all the chapters that participated in the 2026 Energy to Care Chapter Challenge.

ASHE’s chapters are the catalyst for innovation in healthcare facilities management, design and construction by providing an organized structure at the local and/or state level for ASHE members and the field at large.
