Lunch & Learn Series:
Strategies to Obtain Funding for Fire & Life Safety Compliance

Thursday, April 27, 2023
12:00pm - 1:00pm CST

Description

Healthcare facility compliance and maintenance funding are challenging as administrators often prefer investing funds in new medical equipment, aesthetic upgrades, and patient experience. Most facility leaders experience fire, and life safety compliance funding challenges as passive fire protection features are often unseen and expensive to maintain. To make matters worse, fire barriers, doors, and dampers are consistently on the top 10 list of healthcare deficiencies annually. This session will discuss how best to interact with the C-Suite/administration, key discussion metrics, and proven strategies to achieve funding to maintain a safe and compliant facility. This session will feature guest executive VPs of Facilities, Safety & Compliance from two Health Systems.

Learning Objectives:

From this session, you should be able to understand and identify the following:

  • Critical factors for budget and capital decisions with administration or the "C-Suite."
  • Fire & Life Safety critical budget discussion items: Risk, Year Over Year Savings / Return on Investment, Total Cost of Compliance, etc.
  • Best practice metrics and reporting for each key factor
