As policymakers continue to discuss healthcare legislation, the AHA has developed several new resources to help hospitals and other stakeholders understand the proposals and their potential impact. These include a summary of current congressional price transparency activity and AHA recommendations, as well as a detailed side-by-side comparison of House and Senate price transparency bills.

The AHA also has released a comprehensive side-by-side comparison of three 340B reform proposals under consideration in Congress, including the 340B for Patients Act, the SECURE 340B Act and the SUSTAIN 340B Act. The resource outlines how each proposal would address critical issues such as patient definition, contract pharmacies, transparency requirements, rebate models and program oversight.
