The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services April 13 announced that more than 150 organizations have been accepted to participate in the launch of its Advancing Chronic Care with Effective Scalable Solutions Model, or ACCESS. The outcome-aligned payment model will offer technology-supported care to individuals with Original Medicare to manage common chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic pain and depression. CMS said it also extended the initial application deadline to May 15 to include more participants at launch, which will be July 5.
