Republican leaders on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce March 5 announced they were expanding their ongoing investigation into waste, fraud and abuse within Medicaid programs by sending letters to 10 additional states to request information and documents on actions each state is taking to strengthen Medicaid program integrity. Letters were sent to governors and state leaders in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Washington.
