Alternate Life Safety Measures (ALSM) Deficiency Decision Matrix

This tool supports a safe care environment by helping departments identify and respond to life safety deficiencies in protection, exits, doors, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems. Users are guided through the ALSM Decision Matrix to assess risks, document deficiencies, and implement appropriate temporary safety measures. 

The matrix includes detailed checklists for common deficiencies, such as penetrations in fire barriers, blocked exits, malfunctioning doors etc., and outlines required actions like fire watch initiation, alternate exit signage and more.
