Description
In health care environments, compressed air is not just a utility—it’s critical infrastructure. From surgical suites and sterilization systems to laboratory instrumentation and medical device manufacturing, air quality directly impacts patient safety, product integrity and regulatory compliance. When purity is compromised, the consequences are dire.
Yet many hospitals and health care production facilities continue to operate with aging or oil-lubricated compressed air systems that introduce contamination risks, energy inefficiency and unpredictable maintenance. In 24/7 health care settings, even minor instability can lead to costly downtime or compliance issues.
This webinar explores how modern two-stage oil-free rotary screw compressor technology can deliver ISO-certified air purity, improve reliability and reduce total cost of ownership in critical health care applications. We will examine the operational risks associated with oil carryover, the performance and efficiency advantages of oil-free designs and practical strategies for evaluating your current compressed air infrastructure.
Learning Outcomes
- The risks of oil contamination in health care compressed air applications
- Key differences between oil-lubricated and true oil-free rotary screw compressors
- How two-stage oil-free designs improve stability and energy efficiency
- Considerations for meeting U.S. health care air quality and compliance standards
- Practical steps for evaluating and modernizing existing compressed air systems
Speakers
Manhar Grewal brings extensive experience in compressed air technology and industrial systems management, with a focus on performance, reliability and risk mitigation in critical environments. He previously served as a global product management leader at SPX FLOW, where he led cross-functional teams overseeing seven global brands across distribution, rental, e-commerce and retail channels. Prior to that, he spent six years at Sullair in roles ranging from application engineer to commercial systems product manager, developing expertise in compressor design, system optimization and application-specific performance requirements.
Today, Grewal leads oil-free compressor solutions at Kaishan USA, working closely with health care and manufacturing facilities to improve air purity, system efficiency and operational stability. He holds a degree in nuclear engineering from Purdue University.
