The American Hospital Association's Mechanic Evaluation and Certification for Health Care (MECH) certification provides professional recognition for your valuable health care technician skills and helps elevate your career.
Through a combination of lectures, MECH-formatted practice test questions and study materials, the MECH Certification Exam Review will help health care technicians gain confidence in their knowledge of each of the nine (9) key competency areas of the MECH as they consider obtaining the MECH Certification.
*ASHE’s updated Mechanic Evaluation and Certification for Healthcare (MECH) exam launches in late January 2026. The current exam will be retired on January 25, 2026. This program aligns with the revised exam content.
If you plan to take the MECH exam on or before January 25, use the current prep materials and study resources.
Earn 7 CECs. Credit hours can be used toward the renewal of the Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) credential and the Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC) credential.
