While zero Legionella in hospital water systems might not be attainable, zero cases of Legionnaires’ disease can be. An essential part of preventing Legionnaires disease is to evaluate the presence of Legionella in hospital building water systems and then take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the disease.
