Our Project

The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Tower operating room (OR) renovation modernized the existing 40,000-square-foot ground floor surgery center for the region’s leading not-for-profit health care system. In support of Inova’s mission of providing world-class health care to the community, the new 30-operating room suite retains and attracts top surgeons and doctors to work at this premier medical environment and teaching hospital, while providing the variety of advanced surgical procedures and ORs necessary to support patients in the region.

The goal of the OR renovation was to provide a better workflow for the staff and patients by increasing the sizes of the rooms and reorienting the layout for efficiency. While each operating room was constructed to suit a particular type of surgery and customized to meet staff’s needs and requests, Inova had the foresight to install additional infrastructure to a majority of the specialized operating rooms, allowing them to be used for various surgery needs.
