Continuing Education Information (CECs)

ASHE offers multiple ways to earn continuing education credits (CECs) from the American Hospital Association (AHA). AHA CECs count toward continuing education requirements of certification renewals for the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) and Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) programs. Education programs

ASHE in-person education courses offer CECs, with the amount varying depending on which course is taken.

ASHE offers two annual conferences, providing opportunities for earning many CECs in a single event. The International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design & Construction (PDC Summit) is typically held in March, while the ASHE Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition is typically held in July or August.

ASHE offers CECs through several e-learning programs, including a new program focused on the FGI Guidelines, a managing life safety program, a subcontractor program intended for subcontractors involved in health care construction, and Energy University.
