Generator Weekly Inspection Checklist
The Emergency Power Supply System is one of, if not the most critical system in a hospital and its failure to function in a power outage situation can have tragic results. Not all Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) look at documentation of weekly inspections. And even though the generators and transfer switches are operated monthly, a weekly, or perhaps even more frequent visual inspection is highly recommended.
This form is based on the charts in the Annex of the 2005 Edition of NFPA 110.
