Load Management Generators in Healthcare: A Case Study

by Mike Logas
Director of Environmental Services
Fairview Ridges Hospital
Burnsville, Minnesota

Summary
Today's hospital facility manager is no stranger to directives centered on budget cuts and reducing labor costs.  Along with other healthcare managers, he is generally doing more with less.  This, in part, is driven by the dissatisfaction of healthcare consumers with the associated costs for available treatment.  The following case study is how one facility manager included a search for the most value from the facility's dollar, alternatives to energy spending, specifically, dollars spent on electrical energy systems.
