ASHE Members Honored for Their Achievements

(July 12, 2010) The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) today honored members during the opening session of its 47th Annual ASHE Conference and Technical Exhibition in Tampa. The 2010 awards recipients include:


Crystal Eagle
The Crystal Eagle Recipient is William E. (Ed) Tinlsey, PE, CEM, HFDP, CHFM, CHC of TME Inc in Little Rock. This is the highest award that can be bestowed upon an ASHE member, and recognizes one outstanding ASHE member for his or her excellent leadership qualities, innovation, and overall contribution to ASHE and the healthcare engineering and facilities management industry...

The Emerging Regional Leadership award is presented to one individual from each of ASHE’s ten regions who has shown a commitment to the field and has demonstrated leadership qualities.

President’s Award
The President’s Award is presented by the current ASHE president to an individual who has made significant advancements to our profession and has gone above and beyond the call of duty in an effort to optimize the physical healthcare environment. The 2010 President’s award was presented to Steve D. Vinopal, CHFM ,Mauston, Wisc.


Excellence in Healthcare Facility Management
This award recognizes an individual, or facility management department, who has implemented new and/or innovative programs or processes.

Fellow Status
Fellow status (FASHE) is granted to ASHE active members who have achieved Senior status and continue to demonstrate commitment to the healthcare facilities management profession.
