American Society for Healthcare Engineering
Recognizes Hospitals for Reductions in Energy Consumption

CHICAGO (October 27, 2009) In July 2006, the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) ASHE introduced its Energy Efficiency Commitment (E2C) to help support the goals of EPA's ENERGY STAR Challenge. This program encourages building owners across the country to reduce their energy consumption by 10 percent or more. As part of this program, ASHE recognized the following facilities for reducing energy consumption by at least 10% over a 12-month period.
