ASHE Introduces New Educational Program to Assist Members with Upcoming Joint Commission Standards

CHICAGO - September 2, 2008 - The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) today announced a new educational program - Compliance with The Joint Commission Standards in the Physical Environment. This program examines The Joint Commission Environment of CareĀ®, Life Safety and Emergency Management standards that become effective January 1, 2009. Experienced faculty provide tools and techniques to help facilities managers use the new and updated standards as a means to better manage the physical environment while ensuring standards compliance and providing a safe, functional and operational physical environment for patients, visitors and staff.
