ASHE Opens Call for Abstracts for 2009 PDC Conference
(Chicago – June 18, 2008) The American Society for Healthcare
Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) announced today
that the Call for Abstracts for the 2009 International Conference and Exhibition
on Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction™ (PDC) to be held
March 8-11 in Phoenix is now available on the ASHE website at www.ashe.org. Completed
calls will be accepted until August 14, 2008.
Developed through the combined efforts of the American Society for Healthcare
engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA and) and the American
Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health (AIA/AAH), the PDC
provides practical and realistic information that can be used to resolve challenges
faced during the planning, design and construction/renovation process. More
than 3,000 professional involved in with the PDC process attend this Conference.
Presentations at the 2009 PDC will be organized by the following content areas: clinical issues, constructors, design issues, economics, owners, sustainability and technology. Presentations need to focus on leading edge concepts and offer tools and techniques to meet the complex challenges of today’s ever-changing healthcare environment.
Completed Calls will be reviewed by the ASHE PDC and notification of acceptance will be mailed September 26, 2008. For additional information visit the ASHE web site at www.ashe.org.
