Health care facilities must be in full compliance of new emergency preparedness requirements from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services by November 15. ASHE has several resources available to help prepare for the change, including a survey readiness checklist that breaks down each requirement and provides guidance on how to be survey ready for each requirement. The checklist outlines new “E-Tags” CMS is using for surveys and provides corresponding practices to help hospitals become survey ready.
