Energy Efficiency Indicators Survey Data Report

This webinar provides a review of results obtained during the 2011 Energy Efficiency Indicator survey. This survey was a collaborative effort between ASHE and Johnson Controls to study the role that energy efficiency plays in health care. After participating in this webinar, you will be able to:
- Describe the most common energy efficiency measures taken in 2011, and identify the perceived barriers that you will face in 2012.
- Discuss strategies and identity best practices to overcome the most-cited barriers, including financing and payback periods, and developing business plans to address 2012 goals.

The Joint Commission standards related to the hospital physical environment did not change significantly in 2010 and will not change significantly in 2011. However, several of the “Top Ten” problems cited during hospital and critical access hospital surveys continue to be for non-compliance with Joint Commission Life Safety or Environment of Care standards. This webinar identifies common compliance pitfalls and offers suggestions for managing them. At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Implement at least one new measure to help manage compliance with standards related to the health care physical environment.
- Set management priorities using the Joint Commission’s levels of criticality.
- Assess their organizations’ compliance with the standards most often cited as non-compliant during surveys.
