Boot Camp for Health Care Facility Managers

This education program provides intensive training that focuses on the issues facing new health care facilities professionals.  Gain foundational knowledge of the health care built environment as experienced faculty share their insights and knowledge.

Attend to gain a fundamental understanding of health care facility management and take the first steps to develop your support network that you will need throughout your career.  At the completion of this program, you will be able to:

  • Explain the attributes that make health care unique in terms of terminology, financing, utility management, emergency preparedness, available resources, and career development.
  • Understand the importance and steps to take to develop a peer support network. 
  • Explain the external factors impact the facility manager in terms of regulation and compliance.
  • Identify career path goals.

Audience:

  • Facility professionals with two years or less experience in the health care field, i.e. health care engineers, project managers, facility managers, design engineers, design architects, and safety professionals.
  • Those interested in learning more about health care facility management
  • Experienced professionals looking for a “refresher” course
