Personal Letter

Dear ASHE Region 6 Members,

I write to ask for your support in the upcoming election for ASHE Region 6 Director.  I am honored to be nominated and being your representative on the ASHE Board would be a role in which I would be steadfast in service to you.

Region 6 is resilient and has had excellent leadership in the past.  I look to continue providing strong leadership and supporting our Region through current and future challenging times in the healthcare industry.  The difficulties we will continue to face in regulation, reimbursement, rising costs, and a shrinking skilled workforce require focus and action.  I would very much like to represent Region 6 in these efforts.  I believe I have the experience and knowledge to help get things done.

If elected, my goals would not only be to carry out the mission of ASHE, but they would also include adding value to what we do in Region 6.  Increasing professional certification holders, tying energy reduction to other sustainability initiatives that reduce cost, and addressing issues that affect our Region are a few items of focus.

I have the support of my employer and I have my family’s support.  I would like your support as well.  You can be confident that I will work hard and do my best to serve you, Region 6, as well as all ASHE members.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Gordon C. Howie, MSPM, CHFM
