Hands-on Workshop to Rate the Energy Performance of Healthcare Facilities
Description: This hands-on workshop will walk you through the benchmarking process step-by-step. This training will cover creating a private user account, identifying data requirements, managing and sharing information, and establishing and interpreting your energy performance rating. The rating serves as a benchmark that enables you to compare the energy performance of your facility to similar ones across the nation, and to itself over time. From a portfolio perspective, energy performance ratings provide valuable information for making decisions regarding investments in energy efficiency, developing energy management plans, and tracking improvement over time. Who should participate: Healthcare facility managers, energy managers, engineers, property managers, and service and product provider’s organizational leaders interested to learn how effective tracking and benchmarking quantifies savings, helps to set measurable goals, and can earn recognition.
At the end of the training you will have an Energy Performance Rating for your healthcare facility. Please bring your building data to the training. If you do not have access to facility data, a sample data set will be provided.

Whole Building Energy Modeling
Description: Design teams are increasingly integrating energy efficiency components into their design, but few use design tools to measure the impact of these components. EPA’s Target Finder and energy modeling tools, such as eQuest, enable a design team to put science into decision-making by identifying the most cost-effective energy efficiency measures. This training will demonstrate how to properly model whole-building energy use with energy modeling tools and incorporate the results into EPA’s Target Finder tool to assess the energy performance of the designed building.
This is a pre-recorded training that can be viewed at any time. To access the training to go energystar.webex.com. Under “Attend a Session”, click “Recorded Sessions” and select “Whole Building Energy Modeling” from the list.
