Modular MRI Suite
Existing modular MRI suite technology offers great potential for improvement in design, organization and sustainable practices — all leading to a safer and more pleasant patient experience.
The MRI unit-comprised of the scan, control and equipment roomsis the basic building block of the suite. The unit “plugs” into an administrative module which acts as a hub/manifold with the scalable option of additional MRI units or other modalities in several different configurations either at initial delivery or over time. The manifold unit manages safety concerns with clearly delineated zones while facilitating patient and staff flow. The entire suite can function as a hospital addition or a stand-alone imaging facility.
Sustainable strategies are embodied in the re-locatable and reusable aspect of the facility and the use of environmentally sensitive materials and finishes throughout. Day lighting and passive heating/cooling strategies are maximized with site specific configurations.
