Since 1993, the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architects for Health (AIA/AAH) has provided professionals with an opportunity to gain national recognition for their design and construction initiatives through the Vista Award.

New Construction
The practice of constructing a new facility essentially from the ground up. The new facility may be connected to an existing facility, but the building must have its own identity and be a new space.
