Coming Soon:Sub-Contractor Healthcare Construction Certificate Online Program This Online ASHE Program was developed and underwritten by Dupont Building Innovations. The program, which takes about 4 hours to complete, does not need to be completed in one sitting. Healthcare facilities are complex building environments with stringent codes and guidelines. It is critical that sub-contractors understand what is required when working in healthcare, which is unlike any other kind of commercial construction. That’s why ASHE has teamed up with the building science experts at DuPont Building Innovations to develop an online training program specifically for sub-contractors. The program provides a basic level of training for construction safety issues and requirements specific to working in a healthcare environment. By taking this e-learning program
Each segment is broken out by subject matter with a video presentation. Following completion of the video portion, sub-contractors will be able to download a study guide on that subject matter and complete a short quiz. Once all segments have been completed, sub-contractors will be required to pass a final exam in order to print a certificate and receive recognition for completing the course. This certificate of completion can then be presented to general contractors and facility managers. This sub-contractor training program is the third in a series of Healthcare Construction programs offered by ASHE. ASHE has already developed educational programming with specific educational content for healthcare facility managers, general contractors, infection control professionals and more. This program is offered by ASHE to sub-contractors to provide a basic level of training on the requirements of working in healthcare environments. This training program does not replace any on-site training required once the sub-contractor is awarded a job. Completion of this program can help sub-contractors position themselves as valuable resources with education in building practices specific to the healthcare industry. |
To receive recognition and a printed certificate for completing this program, sub-contractors must successfully pass a final exam for all topics covered in the course. The online course includes: Project Management:
Facilities Perspective:
Infection Control:
