Request for Program Approval for HCC Renewal

The ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate Program (HCC) has been highly successful with over 6500 people receiving the Certificate. One of the requirements for the Certificate is that it needs to be renewed every 3 years. ASHE offers several programs that can be attended to meet the requirement for renewal of the HCC.
ASHE realizes the value of having constructors, architects and design engineers involved in local ASHE Affiliated Chapters. To promote this involvement and to support ASHE Affiliated Chapters, ASHE offers a process that Chapters can use to have their programs approved as an HCC renewal program.
For a Chapter program to be considered for renewal, it needs to meet the following requirements:
- Must have at least 7.0 contact hours of instruction. This does not include lunch and breaks
- Faculty must be qualified and experienced in the subject matter they are presenting
- Subject matter can include a wide variety of topics. Following is a list of topics that would be suitable to be considered for HCC renewal:

- Documentation of CEU’s must be provided to the conference attendees
- An application form must be submitted to ASHE with all of the information on the form completed. (Click here for an application) There will be a $500 fee to have a chapter program considered for approval to be used as an HCC Renewal program.

Once ASHE receives the application, the HCC Steering Committee will review the application and respond within two weeks. As part of this process, ASHE will designate the number of CEU’s for the program. These CEU’s will be valid for the HCC renewal or for other educational needs of the attendees
If ASHE approves the Chapter program for HCC Renewal, the Chapter may advertise that the program can be used as a renewal for the HCC. ASHE will also list the Chapter program on ASHE’s HCC website.
Those wishing to renew their HCC by attending the Chapter program and will fill out a form and return it to ASHE, along with a copy of the CEU’s from the program and a renewal fee.
