Introduction
By the establishment of the ASHE Educational Foundation, ASHE is providing it members with an avenue that they can turn to obtain financial assistance to attend the ASHE Annual Conference & Technical Exhibition. It is important that ASHE look for ways to help those members who lack the financial resources or facility support to attend this important event. The Annual Conference is seen by the membership as a “family reunion” and the silent auction will help to solicit funds that can be used as a means to provide either partial or total financial support depending on the request. All individuals and organizations who donate items and/or services to the silent auction will be publicly recognized by ASHE. Please join us in supporting this new initiative! WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!
What are the donations supporting?
The donations will be used to provide partial or total scholarships for ASHE members who want to attend the Annual Conference. Criteria are being developed to determine how funds will be distributed.

Shipping for Silent Auction
Silent auction items must be received by the ASHE office no later than July 10, 2008. After this date items must be bought to the conferences and dropped off at the ASHE conference office. We understand that in some cases items are too large (i.e. gift baskets), and therefore must be shipped. Shipping directions and information will be provided upon ASHE’s receipt of your Silent Auction Form.
If I have donated a personal service, vacation home, or similar type of item, how do I connect with the highest bidder?
At the conclusion of the auction, the contact information of the highest bidder and the donor of the service will be exchanged through emails from ASHE. The bidder and donor are then responsible for setting up the details for any services provided.
How do I bid on an item?
Each item will have a specific bid forms and bid box attached. You will secretly place your bid into the box with your name, email and cell phone number, and your bid price. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder takes home the prize. (bids will be time stamped and the first person with highest bid will win)
How do I know if my bid is the highest bid on an item?
There will be postings located in designated area to be determined. You are required to pay for the item and take it (or the corresponding certificate) with you by Noon on Wednesday. (prior to the conference closing).*
If items won are not purchased and picked up by noon on Wednesday afternoon; the item will go to the next highest bidder. The second highest bidder will be notified after the conference. All items not purchased and picked up by close of conference will be secured by ASHE and ASHE will make arrangement for shipping.
*Please note that there will be a packaging/shipping service available at the conference for your convenience in case the item you purchased must be shipped to your destination.
