I would like to attend the 2011 Annual Conference & Technical Exhibition, the premier event for health care facility management professionals. The conference will enable me to attend a number of sessions that are directly applicable to my work and allow me to network with numerous health care experts. Many of the presentations <give information on how to reduce costs and do more with less, grow service lines, and improve communications>. More details are given below.

I am seeking approval for the registration fee, travel expenses to the conference, and expenses during the conference. I wish to attend the optional educational workshop <fill in the blank if you wish to attend a pre-conference workshop>, which occurs before the start of the conference, because it covers materials I am just beginning to use in my position. A number of the presentations I would attend would give me knowledge in the areas of <fill in topic areas>, which could be put to use immediately with <project(s) you are working on>. Health care experts from leading hospitals and health systems and well-known consulting firms will present the material. I chose each presentation because it is directly related to an issue we are dealing with in the <project(s) you are working on> right now. Getting the information in a seminar format will greatly reduce the research time and costs normally incurred in researching such topics. Incidentally, I have listed only some of the seminars I will attend at the conference.
