Chapter Leadership Forum
The 2017 ASHE Chapter Leadership Forum will be held on Sunday, August 6. For this year's Forum, there is renewed focus on addressing the specific needs of chapter leaders across the country. To accomplish this, ASHE has teamed up with nationally recognized Raybourn Group International leaders Leslie Murphy, FASAE, CAE and Mark McSweeney, CAE. Their combined experience leading national and international associations with chapters will be paired with areas of need identified by chapter leaders within ASHE.
Mark McSweeney, CAE
Mark McSweeney is vice president of association strategy for Raybourn Group International. He has more than twenty years of experience working with trade, professional and individual membership associations to drive strategic, focused success by harnessing the power of the staff and volunteers to better the organizations he serves. His leadership and entrepreneurial spirit has helped to energize leaders towards innovation and change. His experience including working with international, national, and state based associations, including working with chapters and chapter leaders. Mark was recognized as Association Executive of the Year by the Indiana Society of Association Executives for his work with an international trade association.
Leslie Murphy, FASAE, CAE
Leslie Murphy is president of Raybourn Group International, an association management company. She has more than 30 years of experience in leading and consulting with trade, professional, philanthropic, and educational associations. Her expertise includes organizational turnaround, executive and leadership development, strategic planning, membership growth and development and establishing visionary management structures. She has been a frequent speaker at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and was named an ASAE Fellow for her contributions to the profession. Her experience as an executive director includes more than 25 years of positive transformation of associations, many who often have small staffs and tight resources. Leslie was recognized as Association Executive of the Year by the Indiana Society of Association Executives.
Attendees will gain insights on trends in associations, volunteerism, membership, meetings and more. Interactive sessions will allow chapter leaders to learn from each other and have solid takeaways to use to enhance the member experience at their chapter.View the Agenda
