Personal Letter

To all Region 8 ASHE members,

I would like to take a moment to share with you that I am very proud to serve all of you as I fill in for Skanda’s remaining term. I am learning the intricate mechanics’ of ASHE and am really enjoying this tour of duty. Best of all, I get the privilege of meeting the real people who “make the chapter” and who make ASHE successful.

I became acquainted with healthcare, back in 1976 as I plumbed the Sweetwater Hospital in Rock Springs, Wyoming! I loved the expertise and professionalism that I was shown. I came to direct a hospital in 2000 in Brighton Colorado.

I had a huge learning curve to climb as I took over the directorship in Colorado. I needed experts to assist me in the learning and growing processes in the healthcare-engineering arena. At that time, I turned to the Colorado chapter of ASHE- CAHED! There I found likeable experts who were willing to help me grow.

As I grew, I wanted to give back to other members who might need a helping hand. I volunteered for many offices in CAHED. My term as president, really helped me grow in administration. I praise all the mentors in that organization who helped grow ASHE.

Currently, I have a deep desire to continue to serve all of you and I would proud to serve in 2012! Call on me if I can help any member yet this term!

I thank all of you for your support.
